Clifden Trad Fest 2012

The 2012 Festival will take place from the 13th - 15th April 2012 in Clifden, Co. Galway.

The Festival will begin on Friday the 13th of April with an official opening and concert in Clifden Station House Hotel at 7pm. Featuring a host of local and visiting talent, just like 2010 and 2011 its going to be a great evening of music, song and dance.

Pub Music Sessions will take place Friday and Saturday night throughout the town and also on Saturday afternoon and a farewell session on Sunday Morning. A traditional music mass will take place in St. Josephs Church Clifden at 11am on Sunday the 15th of April.

A big highlight this year will be the "Gig Rig" on the town square on Saturday evening. The "Dartry Ceili Band" who are All Ireland Champions and hail from Sliog and Mayo will perform on the Gig Rig from 7.30pm. It promises to be a great night and lots of local talent will also perform. Its the 1st time an act of this calibre has performed at Clifden Trad Fest and we expect it to be a great night! and its free!!!

Music and Dance workshops will take place on Saturday morning at 11am with registration before. Details of venues to follow. Youth session to follow.
