The 2012 Festival will take place from the 13th - 15th April 2012 in Clifden, Co. Galway.

FRIDAY 13TH APRIL
Official Opening and Concert - Clifden Station House Hotel - 7.00pm
Performers will include: West Coast Grupai Cheoils, Clifden Senior Comhaltas, Clifden Junior Comhaltas, Mickey Curran, Liz Kane, Maura Walsh, Chris Maguire, Cathriona, Josie and Una Canavan, Sacra Furey, Maude Connolly, Bernie Conneely, Teresa Ryan and loads more and lots of local musicians, singers and dancers!

Lots of music, song, dance, craic and ceol. Not to be missed!!
Pub Music Sessions will take place Friday and Saturday night throughout the town and also on Saturday afternoon and a farewell session on Sunday Morning. A traditional music mass will take place in St. Josephs Church Clifden at 11am on Sunday the 15th of April.
A big highlight this year will be the "Gig Rig" on the town square on Saturday evening. The "Dartry Ceili Band" who are All Ireland Champions and hail from Sliog and Mayo will perform on the Gig Rig from 7.30pm. It promises to be a great night and lots of local talent will also perform. Its the 1st time an act of this calibre has performed at Clifden Trad Fest and we expect it to be a great night! and its free!!!
Music and Dance workshops will take place on Saturday morning at 11am with registration before. Details of venues to follow. Youth session to follow.

Clifden Traditional Music Festival Clifden Co. Galway - 6th - 9th April
The 9th Annual Clifden Traditional Music Festival will take place this year from the 5th - 8th April in Clifden, Connemara, Co. Galway.
Official Opening and Concert in the Clifden Station House Theatre on Friday 6th April at 7pm. It will feature a host of artists from all over Ireland .
Saturday starts with music workshops in Fiddle, Button Accordion, and Concertina from 10am until 12.30pm.
Tutors 2017 are:
Button Accordion - Padraig Kinsella (Offaly) and Michael Curran (Tyrone)
Concertina - Maura Walsh(Kerry) and Paul Clesham (Mayo)
Fiddle - Liz Gaughan(Tipperary)
Learning Workshop - Variety of Insturments and Two Tutors
Music Sessions are a very big part of the festival and again this year feature a host of champion musicians from all over Ireland. Music sessions will take place all over the town on Friday night, Saturday Afternoon, Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. Musicians already confirmed include: Anthony Kavanagh (, Maura Walsh (Concertina), Padraig Kinsella (Accordion), McAdam (Banjo), Colin McGill (Piano Accordion), Rory Healy(Fiddle), Plunkett O Toole (Flute), Caoimhe Kearins(Singer), Michael Curran (Accordion), Paul Clesham (Concertina),Graham Guerin (Accordion, James Duggan (Fiddle),, Geraldine O Callaghan (Fiddle), John Bass(Accordion, Pat Bass(Banjo) Mark McCrystal (Piano), and many more...!
A big highlight of the festival this year will be the outdoor gig on Market Square on the Saturday night featuring 'Socks in the Frying Pan'
Other highlights to watch out for will be Street Entertainment around the town with stilt walkers, face painters, jugglers etc a busking competition, and a 5K Run!
