Performers will include: West Coast Grupai Cheoils, Clifden Senior Comhaltas, Clifden Junior Comhaltas, Mickey Curran, Liz Kane, Maura Walsh, Chris Maguire, Cathriona, Josie and Una Canavan, Sacra Furey, Maude Connolly, Bernie Conneely, Teresa Ryan and loads more and lots of local musicians, singers and dancers!

Pub Music Sessions will take place Friday and Saturday night throughout the town and also on Saturday afternoon and a farewell session on Sunday Morning. A traditional music mass will take place in St. Josephs Church Clifden at 11am on Sunday the 15th of April.
A big highlight this year will be the "Gig Rig" on the town square on Saturday evening. The "Dartry Ceili Band" who are All Ireland Champions and hail from Sliog and Mayo will perform on the Gig Rig from 7.30pm. It promises to be a great night and lots of local talent will also perform. Its the 1st time an act of this calibre has performed at Clifden Trad Fest and we expect it to be a great night! and its free!!!
Music and Dance workshops will take place on Saturday morning at 11am with registration before. Details of venues to follow. Youth session to follow.

The 11th Annual Clifden Traditional Music Festival will take place this year from the 2nd - 5th of April in Clifden, Connemara, Co. Galway. The Festival will begin on Thursday 2nd April with a Seisiun na nOg in the Vaughans Bar Restaurant room .
Friday will start early with Scoil Mhuire Marching Band performing on the town square at 11.30am. Also on the Friday, the Official Opening and Concert will take place in the Clifden Town Hall at 7pm. The event will feature a host of artists from all over Ireland as well as lots of local talent.
Saturday will begin with music workshops in Fiddle, Button Accordion and Concertina with top class tutors to be announced. Both intermediate and advanced students will be caterd for,.
Music Sessions are a very big part of the festival and again this year feature a host of champion musicians from all over Ireland. Musicians will include:, members of the Blackwater Ceili Band from Co. Tyrone - Micky Curran (Accordion), George McAdam (Banjo), Mark McCrystal (Piano), Rosie Ferguson (Fiddle), Ursula McAdam (Fiddle), Lydia Warnock (Fiddle), James McCaffrey (Flute), Michael Coney (Flute), Ryan Hackett (P. Accordion), Eugene McKenna (fiddle), Emmet Mulholland (Guitar and Vocals), Anthony Kavanagh(Banjo), Paul Clesham (Piano), Liz Kane(Fiddle), Damien McGuinness (Accordion), Jason McGuinness (Fiddle), Gearoid McNamara (Piano) and many many more musicians. All are most welcome to take part in the sessions over the weekend.
The pub sessions will take place throughout the weekend and all details will be given in the brochure which will be released Mid February.:
A big highlight of the festival this year will be again the outdoor gig on the street on Saturday night. This year it will feature The Blackwater Ceili Band Ceili Band as the headline act.The Blackwater Céilí Band hails from the Clogher Valley region of County Tyrone and was formed in 2015. They won the All Ireland Senior Ceili Band competition in 2018 in Drogheda and released their debut CD in 2019
They will be joined by a host of dancers and guest artists.
On the Saturday of the festival, don’t miss the Clifden Trad Fest 5K Run which will leave from the town centre at 2.30pm on the Saturday of the festival. Street Entertainment and music and song on the Gig Rig from 3pm and a busking competitionwill also take place on the Saturday of the Trad Fest from 1.30pm all around the town.
